Connect WooCommerce

Connect your WooCommerce store to SendCoop with a Read/Write REST API key over https to sync customers, orders and unpaid carts.

Connecting WooCommerce lets SendCoop count the revenue your emails bring in, add customers to a list, and remind shoppers about unpaid orders. You connect with WooCommerce REST API keys, so there is no plugin to install.

Before you start

  • Your store must use https://.
  • WordPress permalinks must be turned on (anything other than “Plain”), so the WooCommerce REST API can be reached.
  • Have a SendCoop list ready for your store customers. See Create your first list.

Step 1: Create an API key in WooCommerce

  1. In WordPress, open WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API.
  2. Click Add key.
  3. Set the description to “SendCoop” and the permissions to Read/Write. SendCoop needs write access to create the webhooks that keep your data in sync.
  4. Click Generate API key.
  5. Copy the Consumer key (starts with ck_) and Consumer secret (starts with cs_).

Step 2: Connect in SendCoop

  1. In the left sidebar, click Integrations. The Stores tab opens.
  2. On the WooCommerce card, fill in:
    • Store URL: for example https://yourstore.com
    • Consumer key
    • Consumer secret
  3. Click Connect WooCommerce.

The card shows Connected. Then choose your settings and click Save settings. See Store settings, cart tracking and consent.

What syncs

  • Paid orders (status processing or completed): counted as revenue when the buyer clicked one of your emails.
  • Customers: added to your list.
  • Unpaid orders (status pending or failed): used for cart reminders. Existing subscribers are tagged abandoned-cart, with the order’s payment link saved.

WooCommerce has no marketing-consent flag, so every customer is added to your list when Add customers to the list is on. Only switch it on if your checkout asks for permission to send marketing email.

Troubleshooting

  • “Enter the full store URL starting with https://” Include https:// in the address.
  • “WooCommerce rejected the API keys.” Create a new key with Read/Write permissions.
  • “The WooCommerce REST API wasn’t found at this URL.” Check the address and that permalinks are enabled in WordPress.
  • “The API key can’t create webhooks.” Edit the key in WooCommerce and set permissions to Read/Write.
