Create a sign-up form

Create a SendCoop sign-up form from a template, connect it to a list, design it in the builder and publish it.

Sign-up forms collect new subscribers on your website. The same form can be embedded in a page or shown as a popup. You design it once in the form builder.

Create the form

  1. In the left sidebar, click Sign-up forms. The Forms tab opens.
  2. Click Create form (or Create your first form if you have none yet).
  3. Fill in:
    • Form name: for your own use.
    • Connect to list: new subscribers join this list.
    • Form template: pick a starting design.
  4. Click Create form. The form builder opens.

You can also start from the Forms & popups catalog tab: open a layout and click Use template. If AI writing is available on your account, you can use Write this form with AI to draft the wording.

Which fields the form has

The fields come from the list you connected. A form must have:

  • an Email field,
  • a Submit button,
  • every field that is marked Required on the list.

You can add one Terms of Service checkbox. To ask for more details, such as a phone number or birthday, first add the field to the list. See Add custom fields.

Design the form

The builder has three menus on the left:

  • Layouts: change the overall layout.
  • Design: edit text, colours, fields and the button.
  • Settings: Form name, Mail list, Overlay opacity (for popups) and Display trigger (for popups). Click Save settings after changing them.

Use the device buttons and Preview to check how it looks. Click Save to keep your changes.

Publish

Click Publish in the top bar. A form must be published before it can appear on your site. Click Unpublish to take it down.

What happens when someone signs up

  • They are added to the form’s list.
  • If the list has Double opt-in on, they get a confirmation email first. See Turn on double opt-in.
  • They see the message “Thank You! Your submission has been received.”

Good to know

  • To send people to another page after they sign up, wrap the Submit button in a link in the design.
  • To send a welcome email, set up a welcome series on the same list.
