Use the drag-and-drop email editor

The email editor lets you build an email by dragging in blocks and sections, then clicking any text or image to change it. You don’t need to know HTML.

Open the editor

• From a campaign: on the Template step, click Open email builder.
• From your templates: click Campaigns, open the Templates tab, and use Open builder on a template. To make a new one, click Create template.

Add content

Drag blocks from the left panel onto the email. They are grouped like this:

• Basic: Heading, Paragraph, Button, Image, Grid, Divider, Menu Bar.
• Sections: ready-made parts styled with your brand kit. They include Header, Hero, Colour banner, Text and button, product rows (Three products, Two products, Product spotlight), Discount code, Event details, Testimonial, Article teaser, Social links and Footer.
• My blocks: blocks you have saved yourself.
• Image & Text, Text and More blocks (such as Video and YouTube).

Click any block to edit its text, images, colours and links.

Personalise

Click Personalize in the top bar to insert merge tags, such as the subscriber’s first name or the unsubscribe link. See Add custom fields.

Save your own blocks

Reuse a header, footer or product row in any email:

1. Click the section you want to keep.
2. Click Save block in the top bar.
3. Give it a name, for example “My footer”, and click Save.

It now appears under My blocks in every email. You can keep up to 50 saved blocks. To remove one, open Save block and click Delete next to it.

Apply your brand

To restyle the email you have open with your logo, colour, font and social links:

1. Open Branding in the left rail.
2. Under Your brand, click Apply my brand.

Preview and test

• Use the Desktop, Tablet and Mobile buttons to see how it looks on each screen.
• Click Toggle preview to switch between editing and a clean preview.
• Click Check & test to run the inbox score. In a campaign you can also Send a test from here.

Save

• Save (or Ctrl+S) keeps your changes and leaves the editor open.
• Save & Close saves and takes you back.
• Close leaves without saving.
• Undo (Ctrl+Z) and Redo (Ctrl+Shift+Z) are in the top bar.

Export the HTML

Use Export to download the email as HTML with Absolute Links, or as HTML with Assets (ZIP Package).
