How revenue is attributed

How SendCoop matches store orders and sales to the email that drove them, using the sc_cid click ID and a last-click attribution window.

SendCoop shows how much money each campaign and automation earned. This page explains how a sale is matched to an email, so you know what the numbers mean.

The click ID

When conversion tracking is on, links in your emails carry a click ID in a parameter called sc_cid. It identifies the email and the subscriber who clicked. Connecting a Shopify or WooCommerce store switches conversion tracking on for you.

Store orders (Shopify and WooCommerce)

When a paid order arrives from your store, SendCoop looks for the email that led to it in this order:

  1. Click ID first: if the order’s landing page URL contains a valid sc_cid, the order is credited to that email.
  2. Then last click: if there’s no click ID, SendCoop looks for the buyer’s most recent email click within your Attribution window. If it finds one, the order is credited to that email.
  3. Otherwise, the order is not counted as email revenue. It shows as No email click in the store’s Recent activity.

The Attribution window is set on each store’s card under Integrations > Stores. Choose 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days. The default is 7 days. See Store settings, cart tracking and consent.

Each order is only counted once. Repeat updates for the same order show as Duplicate.

Website sales (conversion tracking snippet)

If you report sales with the conversion tracking snippet on your own website, the email click is remembered on your site for 30 days. A sale reported in that time is credited to the email and subscriber who sent the visitor. See Set up conversion tracking and offers.

Affiliate offers

Affiliate sales are matched with the {sc_cid} value you put in the offer’s link. The network sends it back in its postback. See Set up conversion tracking and offers.
