Send your first campaign
A quick walk-through of the five campaign steps in SendCoop: recipients, setup, template, schedule and confirm.
A campaign is a one-off email to a list or segment, such as a newsletter or a sale announcement. This is the short version; Create a campaign has every option.
Before you start
- You need a list with at least one subscriber. See Create your first list and Import contacts.
Steps
- In the left sidebar, click Campaigns, then click Create campaign.
- On the Regular Campaign card, click Create.
- Recipients: choose a Mailing list. You can also pick a Segment, or leave it empty to send to the whole list. Click Save & Continue.
- Setup: enter a Campaign name (only you see it), the Email subject, the From name and the From email. Click Save & Continue.
- Template: pick a layout from the Template gallery, then click Open email builder to edit it. Add a Preheader text, the short line shown after the subject in most inboxes. Click Continue to Schedule.
- Schedule: choose Send now or Schedule for later. Click Save & Continue.
- Confirm: check the summary and the inbox score. Click Send test email to see it in your own inbox.
- Click Launch Campaign.
After you send
Open the campaign from the Campaigns list to see opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes. See Read your campaign report.
Tips
- Always send yourself a test first. See Send a test email.
- Aim for a high inbox score before you launch. See Check your inbox score.
